Information and data processing is the process of gathering and transforming data into a format that is desired and useful. All that is involved in manipulation is processing, which can be done automatically or manually according to a preset order of steps. Previously, the majority of the processing was done manually, which took time and might lead to errors. These days, computers handle the majority of the processing automatically, processing data quickly and providing accurate results.

The next step is to convert the data to the required form. This involves processing the acquired data and doing so in accordance with the needs of the programme. In other words, it involves turning the data into information that the application can use to carry out certain tasks. The gathering of data from various sources, including text files, excel files, databases, and even unstructured data like photos, audio clips, video clips, GPRS data, and so on, serves as the processing’s input. The commonly available data processing tools are Hadoop, Storm, HPCC, Qubole, Statwing, CouchDB. And the result of the data processing is useful information, which, depending on the application, can be received in a variety of formats such as a table, image, chart, graph, vector file, audio, and so forth.
